Inside a Revive 365 hair plan, with the FDA status of every piece

A Revive 365 plan can pair finasteride or minoxidil with compounded peptides and PRF scalp sessions. Of those, only finasteride and topical minoxidil hold an FDA approval for inherited, pattern-type thinning. The drugstore minoxidil box explains why the cause comes first: its Drug Facts panel tells buyers to skip it if “you do not know the reason for your hair loss” (DailyMed).

The main hair restoration page explains how they work. Where each piece stands with the FDA:

  • Finasteride 1 mg, a pill taken daily by prescription, is FDA-approved only for male pattern baldness. The label excludes women.
  • Topical minoxidil carries FDA approval, needs no prescription and comes in separate men’s and women’s products.
  • Oral minoxidil, if your provider prescribes it, is FDA-approved only for hard-to-control high blood pressure. Its label rules out hair growth as an approved use of the tablets.
  • Peptides are prescribed by your provider and compounded at a state-regulated pharmacy. The FDA doesn’t approve compounded drugs.
  • PRF is spun down from a tube of your blood during the visit, then used on the scalp while it’s being microneedled. The FDA hasn’t approved or cleared PRF for treating hair loss, and every published PRF hair trial we found injected it instead.
  • Exosomes are optional, and you can skip them. The FDA hasn’t approved a single exosome product for any purpose.
  • Microneedling devices are FDA-authorized for 3 uses in adults 22 or older: acne scars and wrinkles on the face, and scars on the abdomen. Scalp hair loss isn’t among them, and the agency states the devices aren’t approved for pushing blood products or drugs into skin, so a scalp session is an off-label use, here or at any clinic.

The drive from Parkland City Hall uses 2 exits numbered 15

Central Parkland sits 21.0 to 22.1 miles from the clinic, about 28 to 29 minutes without traffic, with the Sawgrass Expressway covering most of the distance.

  • Parkland City Hall on University Drive: 22.1 miles, about 29 minutes.
  • Pine Trails Park: 21.0 miles, about 28 minutes.

Both figures come from traffic-free OpenStreetMap routing on September 30, 2026.

The Sawgrass and I-75 each have an Exit 15, so watch the numbers. City Hall drivers get on the Sawgrass at Exit 15, University Drive. On the Pine Trails side, the on-ramp is Exit 14, Coral Ridge Drive. The Sawgrass ends at I-75 in Sunrise, and you leave I-75 at its own Exit 15, Royal Palm Boulevard. The last 2 miles or so are surface streets: west on Royal Palm, north on Weston Road, then South New River Circle to SW 160 Ave. Parking.

If your child is the one losing hair

If your child or teen has ongoing hair loss, start with the pediatrician. The American Academy of Pediatrics tells parents to discuss it there. Parkland is a family city by the numbers: 30.3% of residents are under 18, and households average 3.33 people, against 2.60 across Broward County (Census Bureau QuickFacts, with household figures from 2020-2024 survey data).

The 2 FDA-approved pattern-loss drugs aren’t labeled for children. Both over-the-counter minoxidil labels we checked, the 5% solution for men and the 5% foam for women, say not to use them under 18. Finasteride’s label calls it “not indicated for use in pediatric patients.”

Woman receiving a scalp camera exam in Parkland

The Academy’s parent guide on hair loss in children lists 4 common causes in older kids: tight hairstyles, shedding after stress such as a high fever or surgery, hair pulling, and a fungal scalp infection. It covers alopecia areata separately. A pediatrician can examine the scalp, order bloodwork when needed and refer to a pediatric dermatologist. Our guide to telling alopecia types apart describes each condition.

As of September 30, 2026, severe alopecia areata has 2 pills FDA-approved from age 12: ritlecitinib (Litfulo), since June 2023, and baricitinib (Olumiant), whose approval reached that age group on September 25, 2026. Neither is prescribed at our clinic, so a child or adult with round, smooth patches is referred to dermatology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where would I go for a hair transplant from Parkland?

The closest surgeons certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery are in Boca Raton, going by the board’s directory, which lists none in Parkland. Revive 365 doesn’t perform transplant surgery. If your evaluation points that way, you’ll get a referral.

Does the drive from Parkland use toll roads?

Yes, about 16 of the 22 miles from City Hall run on the Sawgrass Expressway, which takes no cash. A SunPass or other Florida-compatible transponder pays the toll. Without one, the trip is billed by plate.

Can my first appointment happen by telehealth?

Yes, and Florida’s telehealth law holds it to the same standard of care as an in-person visit. You’ll go over when the thinning began, how it has changed, what you take and what you’re hoping for. Clinic visits come after that: the magnified scalp exam, any microneedling sessions, and a blood draw if it’s done on SW 160 Ave.

Can my prescriptions go to a pharmacy in Parkland?

Finasteride can go to the Parkland pharmacy you already use, and so can oral minoxidil if it’s part of your plan. Topical minoxidil needs no prescription. Compounded peptides come from the clinic’s state-regulated compounding pharmacy .

Do I need to come to the clinic at all if I only want medication?

Possibly not. Florida law doesn’t require a physical exam before telehealth treatment when the remote evaluation is enough to diagnose and treat, though your provider may still want to see the scalp in person. Finasteride’s label says benefit generally shows after at least 3 months of daily pills, so plan follow-ups on that timeline.
